Residents Bill of Rights
 

Residents have a right to:

1. Be treated in a respectful, fair, and responsive manner

by the developer and our local government officials.

 

2. Elect the supervisors and the top administrative officer

in our local government.

 

3.  Approve major purchases of common property.

 

4.  Approve any debt obligations assumed by residents.

 

5.  Have a local government that is free of

conflicts-of-interest.

 

6.  Be charged honest monthly fees that are used only

     for the stated purposes.

 

7.  Receive full disclosure when purchasing a home

     in The Villages.

 

8.  Receive an objective market appraisal for major

     purchases of common property.

 

9.  Receive objective, unbiased, and un-slanted news

     reporting from the local news sources in The Villages.

 

10. Be consulted beforehand by the developer on major

      changes in, or additions to, our community.
